Calling all walking committees and interested groups:

The Department of Rural and Community Department has the responsibility for the implementation of the Walks scheme.

It is intended to expand the scheme in the near future and expressions of interest are now being sought for suitable trails to be included to enable the speedy expansion of the scheme.  Criteria for a trail is set out in the attached expression of interest form.

If you are aware of a trail that meets the criteria and which could be put forward for inclusion in the National Walks Scheme, please complete the expression of interest form and submit to the Community Section, Meath County Council, Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan, Co. Meath or email to community@meathcoco.ie
